are an amazing seventeen species of wren and grass-wren in Australia, of which
the aptly named superb fairy-wren is not even the most brilliantly coloured.
However, it will be a familiar site to anyone in the bush of south-eastern
Australia, darting through the undergrowth, seemingly forever busy.
This photograph was taken in Tasmania's Freycinet National Park.
Australia is fortunate to have wonderful, unique and iconic wildlife. This site is dedicated to promoting its enjoyment and preservation.
